Château La Fleur Peyrabon 2008

Great example of an early-drinking, fairly priced Pauillac with loads of ripe red fruits, plus just a hint of tartness, tobacco, earth, and some oak. Medium to full-bodied, fresh and juicy, you can drink this now and easily over the next decade.

Medium garnet. Lovely blackberry and cassis bouquet, showing fine Cabernet spice and dark woods. Aromatic palate with blackcurrant notes, pleasant, refined structure, elegant finish. An interesting gastronomic Pauillac.

Straightforward, fruit-driven wine with elegant, subtle oak and a beautiful tannic structure.

The color is dark and moderately intense. The nose is fruity with ripe character. The palate is round, flavorful, powerful, and even tannic on the finish, which is long. It’s a success.

Very beautiful nose of blackberry and spices. Dense and very elegant palate, lovely length, splendid finish. Very successful.

The Pauillac vineyard under the same ownership as Château Peyrabon has produced an impressive 2008. It has power and intensity with ripe, smooth fruits given muscle by dark, chewy tannins. It's designed for aging; wait at least five years.
