Description
The precision and finesse of a great white wine from Pessac-Léognan
The property
Originally bearing the name of one of its first owners, Clos Laville was acquired in 1928 by Frederic Woltner, owner of La Mission Haut-Brion, neighbor of the illustrious Château Haut-Brion. At that time, the vineyard, covering an area of 2.5 hectares, mainly produced white wine.
The vineyard
Château Laville Haut-Brion oversees a vineyard composed of sauvignon blanc and sémillon.
The wine
Following this acquisition, this great Pessac-Léognan white wine has undergone several denominations. Labeled as Château La Mission Haut-Brion Blanc since 1928, its denomination evolved from 1934 into Château Laville Haut-Brion.
