Ripe, plump and forward, with dark plum, anise and blackberry notes backed by slightly briary tannins and ending with a strong tobacco detail. Accessible already, but there's some fine acidity to merit modest cellaring. Drink now through 2019. 1,667 cases made.

Good fresh fruit, medium sweetness and fine balance.

A firm and silky red with lovely berry and chocolate notes, hints of tar. Medium to full body. 65 percent Merlot and the rest Cabernet. Delicious now. Very well done for the vintage.

Rather dense texture, grainy tannin, dark fruit, good length, a bit closed but potent.

Dark garnet, fairly dense in the middle, with a ruby rim. Open bouquet, red plums, a touch of coffee. On the palate, slender, pleasant, and promising for near-term enjoyment.

Highly expressive nose of small red fruits and soft floral notes; a straightforward, fleshy, melting palate with very fresh tannins and good structure. Beautiful balance, beautifully crafted. Richness, freshness and length, with a fine, fresh-driven tension.

In both red and white, this cru has a distinctive brilliance that sets its flavors apart even in this challenging vintage. A success. Dark color of medium intensity. Nose of ripe fruit. Juicy, subtle palate, very flavorful with vibrant fruit. A touch of liveliness on the finish. Medium body and length.
