Apple, elderflower, white peach and apricot. Smooth and bright, this has finesse and class with real linearity and direction. I like the texture and mouthfeel—big enough to be quite a structured and round wine but with lightness and freshness too. This has real focus, perhaps not so layered and expressive at this point, but such an excellent drive of lemon and lime fruit and some bitter grapefruit edges too, that give spice and definition. Confident and poised. Great winemaking.

Aromas of grilled pineapple, clove, lemon peel, lime pith and green mango. White pepper, crushed stones and some cedar, too. It’s medium- to full-bodied with bright acidity. Layered and very long. Serious white. Needs time to open and show more. Exceptional form here. Drink from 2023.

The white peach, honeysuckle, lemon rind, green apple and pears on the nose are just perfect. On the palate, the wine achieves that hard-to-pull-off feat of being both fresh and creamy, with a sweetness to all the ripe citrus and spice on the finish. Drink from 2022–2032.

Light yellow-green, silver reflections. Delicate yellow tropical fruit, a hint of chamomile, some verbena, nuances of pears. Juicy, elegant, fruity, good balance, pleasant acidity, mineral, fine citrus touch on the finish, very approachable.

The 2019 Château Malartic-Lagravière Blanc is rock-solid, with lots of honeyed grapefruit, pineapple, and lime aromatics as well as a medium-bodied, vibrant, incredibly pure, precise, and elegant style on the palate. This is age-worthy Bordeaux Blanc. Give bottles 2-3 years and it should keep for over a decade.

Strikes a balance between flint and creamy stone fruits, with pulses of fennel that add just the right amount of bitterness. Great momentum through the palate; this is really an excellent wine, full of life and vivacity, skillfully made, and it makes you want to go back for more. Harvest September 4 to 16.

A blend of 76.1% Sauvignon Blanc and 23.9% Semillon, the 2019 Malartic Lagraviere Blanc needs a fair bit of swirling to unlock notes of lemongrass, grapefruit, and sea spray with hints of orange blossom and coriander seed. The medium-bodied palate is seriously tightly wound, with taut citrus and chalky layers and a crisp backbone, finishing with great length.

Nose of boxwood and white flowers, with plenty of tension but excellent dry extract for long aging, a saline and very sapid finish. It will appeal to Bordeaux enthusiasts.

The nose is fresh, juicy, elegant, offering fine concentration and a lovely plump texture. It reveals notes of vibrant peach, crushed apple and, more lightly, lemon and kumquat, along with touches of lychee and quenette, fine hints of almost candied zest, passion fruit, as well as a subtle iodized note and toasted almond. The palate is fruity and balanced, with juiciness, brightness, a certain purity, indulgence, a juicy/tangy thread, roundness, a touch of creaminess, sapidity, freshness and good definition. On the palate, the wine expresses notes of quenette and lychee and, more slightly, juicy kumquat, combined with touches of juicy/bright nectarine, passion fruit, fine hints of pink grapefruit, and discreet notes of acacia blossom, iodine, racy gravel and a subtle touch of toasted almond. Good length. An imperceptible hint of mandarin mesocarp appears on the finish/persistence.

Logo on the cork: DIAM30 Pale colour. Intense, refined, fruity, subtle and noble nose. Delicate on the attack, very flavoursome, with a lovely texture and complex flavours of white fruit and spices; the wine caresses the palate from start to finish, gaining in body yet remaining lively and vibrant. Very good length.

This wine is ripe with layers of intense white fruits and a structure that will let it age. The balance between fruit and wood aging is just right, giving a spicy edge and delicious acidity. Drink from 2024.
