Description
The refinement of an emblematic Saint-Émilion wine
The estate
Like an ancient guardian of the earth's secrets, the Château Pavie unveils a winemaking history dating back to the far reaches of the 4th century. Since March 1998, under the passionate leadership of Chantal and Gérard Perse, this prestigious estate, crowned Grand Cru Classé “A”, embodies Bordeaux excellence in all its splendor.
The vineyard
Its vineyard, like a grandiose painting carved onto the slopes of the saint-émilionnaise hill, stretches majestically across thirty-seven contiguous hectares. Like a geological symphony, the terroir unfolds in three movements: a lofty plateau at 85 meters, a middle slope, and a foothill with soils mixed with sand and clay, where each parcel whispers the mysteries of its lands.
The vines, venerable witnesses of time, accumulate nearly fifty years of wisdom. Cared for with almost paternal tenderness, they undergo meticulous care: trellis enhancement, surgical pruning, precise trimming, like a sculptor chiseling his masterpiece.
Blend
This Château Pavie 2016 is a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon.
