    Description

The persistence and aromatic intensity of a great vintage in Margaux

    The property
Owned by the Miailhe family for over 160 years, Château Siran is one of the emblematic references of the Margaux appellation. The Château Siran was already renowned for the quality of its wines as early as the 18th century.

    The vineyard

Located in the Margaux appellation, Château Siran oversees a 25-hectare vineyard superbly situated on gravel and pebble soils. The vines are located on hillocks made up of ancient alluvium and covered with fine clayey gravels. The vineyard is managed using reasoned viticulture and without chemical herbicide.

    Blend
Cabernet sauvignon (46%), complemented by merlot (44%), petit verdot (9%) and cabernet franc (1%).

Characteristics and tasting advice for Château Rauzan-Ségla 2016

    Tasting

    Nose
The nose is bursting with fresh, intense and crunchy fruits. It's a ball of fruit, superb on intense crushed raspberry, accents of black cherry and fresh licorice.

    Palate
With a frank and precise attack, the palate gives way to a tannic weave of finesse with class, a creaminess, a juicy and very fruity retro-olfaction. The wine is long, gourmet, gains in precision.
