Compact and velvety in style, balanced, with good length, still showing a touch of élevage, very cleanly made.

Seductive, showing warmed plum and blackberry compote notes that are lush in feel, with pretty violet and anise hints and a flicker of black tea through the finish. This is hard to lay off of now because of its generosity. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. Drink now through 2032. 10,800 cases made, 4,000 cases imported.

A great vintage for Siran, with expansive aromas of violets and a new freshness and finesse. A special black and gold label celebrates the 160th vintage under Miailhe family ownership.

Lovely, soft tannins with a juicy and flavorful palate of currants, slightly toasted oak and chocolate. It’s full-bodied and layered with a plush texture and a long, flavorful finish. Warm and rather flamboyant for the vintage. Try in 2025.

Just like it was from barrel, the 2019 Siran is a powerful, opulent wine. Raspberry jam, blood orange, mint, wild flowers and rose petal are all amplified in this decidedly heady, sumptuous Margaux. There's not a ton of subtlety, but, then again, who cares? Tasted two times.

Intensely floral, with a strong note of violets, black cherry, espresso, cocoa, and roses on the nose are what you notice first. From there, you move to a voluptuously textured palate with layers of fresh, ripe, silky black fruit and a touch of spicy chocolate that hits all the right notes. They are doing everything right at Siran these days. This is a beauty from start to finish that, for a wine of this quality, sells for a song. As a bonus, the bottle features a special label design celebrating 160 years of family ownership. Drink from 2024–2047.

Deep dark ruby, opaque core, purple glints, faintly lighter at the rim. Fragrant dark cherry, soft tobacco notes, woody nuances, followed by an undertone of cassis. Medium-bodied, good complexity, integrated tannins, nougat finish. A full-bodied food companion, has potential for development.

One of the finest vintages I've tasted from this château, the 2019 Château Siran has a great bouquet of ripe black cherries, blackberries, scorched earth, leather, and cedary herbs. With medium to full-bodied richness, polished tannins, and outstanding overall balance, it's going to benefit from 2-4 years of bottle age and drink nicely over the following 10-15 years. It's an impressive Margaux.

A knockout example of the wine, one to track down and grab hold of. This showcases the fresh lift of Siran, the depth of expression, but it is also so finessed and elegant, inching forward in power through the palate, layered with chocolate, cocoa bean, liquorice root, bilberry, cassis, black pepper spice. Special label, in black and gold, marks the 160th vintage of Siran under the Miaihle family, now run by 4th generation Edouard. The 2019 Siran has a medium to deep garnet-purple color. It charges out with intense notes of baking spice and blackberry preserves, leading to touches of violets, cedar chest, and graphite. The medium-bodied palate has impressive intensity and freshness, with finely grained tannins and a savory lift on the finish.

Remarkable aromatic finesse, with notes of rose and old flowers, delicate texture, elegant body, a perfect expression of the fine Margalais terroirs and confirmation of the estate’s return to the top of its unclassified category. Excellent value for money.

Siran delivers a very fine 2019, very fresh and juicy, with a full, fleshy mid-palate and a finish with beautifully integrated tannins.

The nose, fruity and delicate, exudes notes of stewed red fruits, blackcurrant, spices, white pepper, with subtle hints of charcoal. The palate is still discreet but promising, with fresh, sappy notes. A wine of great pedigree, both charming and complex.

The nose is distinguished and offers minerality, fine intensity, and a relatively powerful grain. It reveals notes of fresh/pulpy wild blackcurrant, crushed wild red berries, and, more subtly, liquorice, combined with small touches of fresh flowers and fresh pepper, as well as a discreet hint of cola and spices. The palate is fruity and balanced, offering minerality, juiciness, indulgence, a certain creaminess, a tangy backbone, suppleness, and a slightly airy feel on the approach. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of creamy blackcurrant and crunchy wild raspberry, joined by touches of pulpy small red berries and racy minerality, along with fine hints of chocolate, fresh flowers, and toasted notes. A subtle almost-inky nuance appears on the finish, with a small touch of pleasant bitterness. The tannins are refined and well handled.

Dark, intense, and beautiful color. Moderately aromatic nose, fruity and slightly lively. The palate has a supple body, very fruity and aromatic up to the mid-palate. On the finish, the wine shows a touch of tannin. Medium length.
