Medium-bodied with an oak, red cherry and black raspberry nose, this lighter style of St. Emilion, produced from a blend of 50% Merlot, 45% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon should offer pleasure on release. 88-90 pts

The 2013 is an undeniable success, with very fine, chiselled, vibrant substance. Its aromatic pedigree, built around cool graphite notes, is already evident, and the length is remarkable.

The colour is fairly deep and the nose discreet, with truffle notes as it opens up. The palate is dense and compact, quite structured, with lovely length. 54% Merlot, 44% Cabernet Franc, 2% Cabernet Sauvignon. 100% new oak.
