An elegant and indulgent red wine from Pomerol

The estate

Located among the most beautiful crus of its appellation, the Château Vray Croix de Gay is in line with the very beautiful references of Pomerol, on the right bank of the Bordeaux region. Former winemaker of Pétrus, Jean-Claude Berrouet joined the technical teams of the Château in 2013 as a consulting oenologist.

The vineyard

Château Vray Croix de Gay takes its name from the cross that adjoins the vines and served as a guide for the pilgrims of Compostela. Its vineyard extends over just under 4 hectares and is located in the heart of the Pomerol appellation.

Blend

70% merlot and 30% cabernet franc.

Tasting

Color
Dark and intense color.

Nose
Raspberry coulis, plum and red licorice are all fragrances mingling in a rich and harmonious nose.

Palate
A fruity attack precedes a soft palate, whose persistent tannins, silky touch and elegance stretch to a mellow finish revealing pure fruit.
