    Vinum

Apple and citrus fruit, yeasty dough; on the palate, roundness and fine acidity, a solid structure, good length, with a spicy finish. A real crowd-pleaser.

This dry white wine is crisp, citrus with a bright herbal edge and vivid acidity. It comes from a number of parcels in the region of Sauternes. Drink from 2026.

A textbook example of excellent dry white in 2023: you get the sumptuousness of ripe Sémillon with nectarine juiciness and the verve and citrus punch, in this case kiwi, from the Sauvignon Blanc. No malolactic fermentation to maintain acidity, given the summer heatwaves, and voilà. This wine also has some classy pear on the finish, but above all a juicy mid palate.

The 2023 Lune d'Argent has an enticing bouquet, the Sémillon component in the driving seat, touches of yellow fruit, jasmine and white flowers. The palate is well-balanced, a little honeyed in texture, matched by a keen line of acidity, brisk and peppery on the finish where the Sauvignon Blanc makes a belated shout.

Honeysuckle, roasted grapefruits, green apples, nutmeg, and pears are ready to be enjoyed, in the nose, and on the forward, sweet, juicy, and importantly, vivid palate. This is ready-to-go as soon as it hits the stores. The wine blends 70% Semillon with 30% Sauvignon Blanc. Drink from 2026-2033.

Gunsmoke reduction on the first nose, this needs a good time in the glass for opening up, then shows momentum, grip and waves of lime blossom, elderflower and citrus. Produced by the Olivier Bernard team. One point upscore.

    Le Figaro Vin

Score: 89-91. Fresh as a spring shower, almost chilly, the nose is all tension and citrus notes with a mineral touch. The palate is intense, with bright substance and notes of fresh herbs, salt-preserved lemon, and a mouthwatering finish.

The bouquet of Clos des Lunes’ Lune d’Argent cuvée shows a lovely balance between oak ageing and fruit. Tropical notes are paired with the freshness of lemongrass and peppermint. Sleek and fresh, the wine is linear and well supported by its structure. It even has a creamy touch, with a certain density. The finish, slightly saline, is lifted by fine bitters that extend the length. A great success!

Aromas of pear, flowers, candied citrus and spices introduce the 2023 Lune d'Argent, a moderately weighted wine that is elegant and gourmand, driven by bright acids and concluding with a penetrating finish.
