The excellence of a great Burgundian terroir
The estate
Located in the heart of Chambolle-Musigny, Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé is a true institution in Burgundy. With origins dating back to the 15th century, this historic estate is renowned for its exceptional heritage of vines and for expertise handed down from generation to generation.
The vineyard
The estate owns a rare plot of Chardonnay within the prestigious Musigny Grand Cru. This unique terroir, made up of clay-limestone soils rich in small stones, gives the wine incomparable minerality and elegance.
The vintage
The 2023 vintage in Burgundy benefited from favourable weather conditions, allowing the grapes to reach optimal ripeness while retaining a lovely freshness, essential to the balance of great white wines.
Vinification and ageing
The grapes are harvested by hand and rigorously sorted. Vinification is carried out with precision to preserve the purity of the fruit, followed by ageing in French oak barrels, which adds complexity and structure without masking the identity of the terroir.
Grape variety
Chardonnay (100%).
