Description
A white wine from the Vallée du Rhône with complex aromas by Domaine de la Mordorée
The estate
Created in 1986 by Francis Delorme and his son Christophe, Domaine de la Mordorée now spans 42 hectares in the Vallée du Rhône, covering the appellations Tavel, Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Lirac, Côtes-du-Rhône and Condrieu. After Christophe's death in 2015, his widow Madeleine Delorme and their daughter Ambre now run the estate. The domaine has stood out for its organic and biodynamic practices since 2020, as well as for its cuvées with poetic names inspired by nature.
The vineyard
The vines dedicated to this Lirac blanc cuvée are planted on soils of rolled pebbles over a mix of sand and red clay. The domaine practices certified organic and biodynamic viticulture, with exclusively manual harvests and rigorous grape sorting.
Winemaking and aging
The winemaking process includes destemming, crushing and skin maceration under temperature control. Aging takes place in both barrels and tanks, thus preserving the wine's freshness and fruity expression.
Blend
La Reine des Bois Lirac Blanc 2024 from Domaine de la Mordorée is a Blend of grenache, clairette, viognier, roussanne, marsanne, picpoul and bourboulenc.
