Domaine du Colombier : Crozes-Hermitage "Cuvée Gaby" 2022

Dense blackberries and some soot notes are wrapped around the solid tannic core of this full-bodied but fresh Crozes-Hermitage. The long, self-confidently tannic finish says that this was built to age. Drinkable now, but best from 2025.

Cask sample. Tasted blind. A slightly lifted balsamic note on the nose. The palate is firm with grippy tannins, moderate acidity and is quite tightly coiled at the moment. Needs a little time to knit together. (AC)
