    Tasting

    Colour
An intense, deep ruby hue with crimson highlights.

    Nose
Wonderfully complex, the bouquet reveals aromas of black cherry, raspberry and ripe plum, subtly enhanced by notes of blood orange, Asian spices, as well as earthy touches of undergrowth.

    Palate
The palate offers a remarkable balance between power and elegance. Supple, ripe tannins combine with lovely freshness, revealing generous flavours of red and black fruits. The full-bodied, persistent finish speaks to its great finesse.

    Food and Wine Pairing

This Grand Cru pairs wonderfully with structured dishes such as poultry in a red wine sauce, roast lamb in its own juices, a fine cut of beef, or soft-rind cheeses.

    Service and Storage

For optimal enjoyment, it is recommended to serve this Chambertin-Clos de Bèze Grand Cru 2024 between 12 and 14°C in its youth, then between 14 and 16°C after a few years. Endowed with exceptional aging potential, it can be kept until around 2065.

The Elegance and Complexity of a Grand Cru from Burgundy by Domaine Faiveley

    The Estate

Founded in 1825 in Nuits-Saint-Georges, Domaine Faiveley embodies the excellence of Burgundy in France. Now run by the seventh generation, represented by Erwan and Eve Faiveley, the estate oversees an exceptional heritage of more than 120 hectares spread across the region's most prestigious terroirs. Combining respect for tradition with a modern outlook, the estate stands out for its strong environmental commitment, becoming a pioneer in the organic conversion of such an extensive vineyard area. Its wines are recognised worldwide for their finesse and elegance.

    The Vineyard

Chambertin-Clos de Bèze comes from a historic 1.29-hectare plot, the oldest vines of which were planted in 1949. Located at an altitude of between 275 and 300 metres, this terroir benefits from an ideal east and south-east exposure. The soils consist of limestone scree in the upper section and clay-limestone formations rich in marine fossils lower down. The entire vineyard is cultivated according to organic farming principles.

    The Vintage

The growing season was particularly challenging, marked by episodes of dense fog and strong mildew pressure. These climatic challenges required constant attention and meticulous work from the teams to preserve the health of the foliage and grapes right up until harvest.

    Winemaking and Aging

For this Chambertin-Clos de Bèze Grand Cru 2024, the process combines traditional methods with modern facilities. The berries benefit from gravity-fed tank filling and controlled aging in the historic nineteenth-century cellars, with a carefully judged use of barrels to preserve the brightness of the fruit. This vintage also marks a historic transition, being the last to offer two separate cuvées before the consolidation of the plot.

    Grape Variety

    100% Pinot Noir.
