Isautier, Réunion Island’s oldest distillery
Founded in 1845 by brothers Charles and Louis Isautier, this House remains the oldest distillery and private company on Réunion Island. Based in Saint-Pierre, it produces Réunion rums defined by a fresh, fruity profile with notes of sea spray. A pioneer of infused rums, Isautier farms 500 hectares of sugarcane. Still owned by the Isautier family and now led by Cyril Isautier of the sixth generation, the company stands out for its diversification and its museum, La Saga du Rhum, a living testament to Réunion’s rum heritage.

L'Audacieux 15-Year-Old Brut de Fût 2006 is an absolute rarity on Réunion Island. This vintage rum is crafted from 100% pure sugarcane juice distilled in a column still. Its 15-year tropical ageing in French oak barrels began in May 2007, giving this spirit remarkable complexity. Drawn from a single cask (cask no. 35118), this brut de fût underwent a partial reduction before bottling, thereby retaining an exceptional strength of 73.1% alcohol. The ultra-limited release of only 125 bottles makes this 2006 vintage a collector’s item for lovers of exceptional rums.
