    Tasting

    Appearance
    The wine displays an elegant, deep garnet hue.

    Nose
    The nose reveals lovely complexity, dominated by aromas of red fruits, with notes of blackcurrant and violet.

    Palate
    The expressive and nuanced palate reveals flavors of mocha, blackcurrant, pepper, and a subtle vegetal touch reminiscent of chlorophyll. The finish impresses with its remarkable length.

    Food and Wine Pairings
    Game, rib of beef, braised lamb, veal with morels, or cheeses such as Époisses or Langres are refined pairings.

    Serving and Cellaring
    This wine should be enjoyed at 16 to 17°C and can be cellared until around 2036.

    Estate

    The largest wine estate in Burgundy, Louis Latour boasts a winemaking history of over 200 years. Spanning the finest plots in Premier and Grand Crus from the Côte de Beaune to the Côte de Nuits, the 50-hectare vineyard of Domaine Louis Latour produces a range of wines from 130 appellations, each authentically and elegantly expressing the characteristics of its original terroir.

    Vineyard

    Since the 12th century, Clos Vougeot, formerly owned by the Cistercian monks of Cîteaux, has been dedicated to vine cultivation. Today, the wines of Clos Vougeot represent the largest Grand Cru appellation in Burgundy, with 52 hectares of vines and 80 different owners.

    Winemaking and Aging

    100% malolactic fermentation in open vats, followed by aging in new French oak barrels for 10 to 12 months.

    Grape Variety

    100% Pinot Noir.
