    Color
    beautiful ruby color.

    Nose
    The nose reveals a refined palette where black cherry, licorice and subtle mocha notes intertwine.

    Palate
    On the palate, its controlled liveliness, enveloping roundness, velvety tannins and discreet oak combine to deliver remarkable length, a pledge of perfect balance.

    Food and wine pairings
    This Grand cru pairs perfectly with robust dishes such as roasted hare, truffled partridges, duck à l'orange, and aged cheeses.

    Serving and cellaring
    This wine is ideally served between 16 and 17°C. It has excellent aging potential, with cellaring potential until around 2036.

    A silky and precise Burgundian Grand Cru

    The estate
    Founded in 1797 by Jean Latour in Aloxe-Corton, this family-owned Burgundian house carries on a unique heritage combining cooperage and winemaking. Owning 33 hectares including Grands Crus de Corton, Louis Latour stands out for its dual expertise inherited from its cooper roots. A pioneer of exports since 1815 and former supplier to European royal courts, the house remains a benchmark for Burgundy wines since its establishment on rue des Tonnelliers in Beaune in 1867.

    The vineyard
    The Corton "Clos du Roi" vines are perfectly east-facing on the hill of Corton, in the village of Aloxe-Corton. They are planted on marl and limestone subsoil, which gives the wine its characteristic structure and minerality. Severe pruning allows late harvests, thereby ensuring optimal ripeness and richness in the grapes.

    Winemaking and aging
    The winemaking is carried out traditionally in open vats, with a complete malolactic fermentation. The aging lasts 10 to 12 months in oak barrels, of which 25% are new, from the tonnellerie Louis Latour with a medium toast.
