    Decanter

Pale in the extreme, with a whisper of pink. Creamy peach and apricot aromas lead into blue floral and lavender notes on the palate, developing mineral, stony, schist notes with a tight inner core and a slightly phenolic finish. Quite neutral and very restrained. Bone-dry with fresh acidity.

Pale pink with a bright hue. Youthful aromas of fresh pineapple, red berries, citrus and lemongrass. Warm and ripe palate, yet with a good sense of freshness, rounded and supple with soft red berry flavours and a lush finish.

    Terre de Vins

This cuvée, made from estate-grown grapes and those from partners—all organic—harvested and vinified by the château, is now sold under the name Maison Sainte-Marguerite. Predominantly Grenache, complemented by Cinsault and Rolle, it remains as fruity and aromatic as ever, with notes of peach and citrus.

    R.V.

Cinsault, Grenache and Rolle give a fruity, light wine. It is crisply textured with bright acidity. The fine balance comes from the wine's mélange of kiwi and red-currant fruit flavors. Drink now. Organic.

    Description

An airy and fruity Côtes de Provence rosé wine

    The estate

Founded in 1929 by André Chevillon on the basis of a wine estate cultivated since antiquity, Château Sainte-Marguerite is located in the terroir of La Londe-Les-Maures, a village on the Var coast. In 1955, it was awarded the Cru Classé de Provence label, which highlights the authenticity, diversity and quality of its products. In 1977, Brigitte and Jean-Pierre Fayard acquired the estate, which at the time represented 11 hectares. Since 2022, the Fayard family has joined forces with Pernod Ricard to continue the development of Sainte Marguerite in Provence and internationally.

    The vineyard

Facing the Mediterranean, the Château Sainte Marguerite terroir stretches across 168 hectares. The soils combine a mineral soil with a clay-limestone soil. The Mediterranean climate is tempered by sea spray, allowing the organically grown vines to flourish.

    The wine

Symphonie 2022 from Maison Sainte Marguerite is a Côtes de Provence wine known for its finesse and quality.

    The vintage

The 2022 vintage was difficult, weather-wise, and was subject to increased surveillance. The spring and summer were marked by drought. Temperatures were very high in July and August. However, the harvest revealed a good sugar-acid balance thanks to continuous ripening.

    Winemaking and ageing

Cold skin maceration before pressing. Temperature-controlled vinification. Aged in vats on fine lees. Fining and filtration before bottling.
