The estate

Bodega Chacra welcomes you to the Río Negro region, nestled at the southern tip of Argentina. This rare gem was brought to life in 2004 by Piero Incisa della Rocchetta. The story began at a tasting in New York, where one wine instantly caught his attention: a Pinot Noir from Río Negro. It was a true revelation, and he immediately grasped everything these terroirs had to offer: ungrafted vines dating back to 1932, massal selections, exceptional climatic conditions… Piero Incisa della Rocchetta then set off for this corner of paradise, determined to create the wines of his dreams, wines capable of conveying the taste of "a place on the planet", in his own words.

The vineyard

Bodega Chacra is rooted in the heart of the Río Negro region in Patagonia, a territory shaped by the meeting of two rivers, the Limay and the Neuquén. From there, they stretch out endlessly towards plains and forests, at an altitude of between 290 and 330 metres. It is in this vast green haven that the estate thrives, nestled among 24 hectares of vines in a natural setting.

The Treinta y Dos Pinot Noir comes from a vineyard planted in 1932 on clay-sand soils and a pebbly terroir, farmed according to organic and biodynamic principles.

Vinification and ageing

All the bunches are fermented at low temperature. The wine is aged in concrete vats and French oak barrels (second, third and fourth fill).
