Description

Tasting notes and characteristics of the Sainte-Victoire 2025 by Miraval

Tasting

Appearance
This wine reveals a very pale pink robe, both bright and crystal-clear, enhanced by delicate rose gold highlights.

Nose
Remarkably expressive and wonderfully delicate, the aromatic bouquet exudes a beautiful freshness. It unveils scents of peach, raspberry and redcurrant, harmoniously blended with citrus notes and a subtle mineral touch.

Palate
The palate delivers a perfect balance between generous fruity richness and remarkable freshness. The attack unfolds with savoury notes of red berries and white-fleshed fruits, stretching toward a long finish marked by lemony and saline accents. The whole shines with elegance.

Food and wine pairings
This cuvée pairs beautifully with Mediterranean cuisine, such as a Niçoise salad, grilled vegetables or plancha-cooked fish. It also brilliantly accompanies white meats, ceviches, sushi or fresh goat cheeses.

Serving and cellaring
To fully appreciate this 2025 vintage, it is recommended to serve it at a temperature between 8 and 10 °C.

The elegance and freshness of a great Côtes de Provence Sainte-Victoire rosé

The estate
Located in Correns, in the heart of the Var in Provence, the Miraval estate traces its origins back to medieval times. Now a true icon, it combines exceptional winegrowing heritage with a unique musical history thanks to its famous recording studios. Today, the property is co-owned by Brad Pitt and the Campari Group, while the renowned Famille Perrin oversees the technical direction. Driven by international acclaim, the brand embodies a true Mediterranean art de vivre, producing luxurious rosés that celebrate elegance, freshness and the pure expression of their terroir.

The vineyard
The grapes come from hillside plots with clay-limestone soils, overlooking the upper Arc Valley. This terroir of the Côtes de Provence Sainte-Victoire appellation extends across two opposing slopes: south of the eponymous mountain and north-north-west of the Auréliens massif. The Mediterranean climate provides exceptional sunshine and powerful Mistral winds. The strong temperature variations, linked to the continental character of this area, encourage optimal ripening of the berries while naturally preserving a perfect balance between acidity and freshness.

The vintage
The year was marked by several episodes of intense heat in Provence, with notable temperature peaks in August. These climatic conditions caused water stress in some plots and led to an early maturity. The berries, smaller than usual, proved particularly concentrated and endowed with great aromatic power.

Winemaking and aging
To preserve all their vivacity, the grapes are harvested at night. Fermentations then take place under strict temperature control to maintain optimal aromatic freshness. Finally, the wine benefits from a short aging on fine lees, which gives it structure and texture.

Grape varieties
This wine is made from a blend of Grenache, Cinsault and Syrah.
