Rochelt Distillery: artisanal craftsmanship and an unwavering commitment to quality

Founded in the 1970s by Günter Rochelt in his Tyrolean garage, Rochelt has established itself as an exceptional artisanal distillery. The official distillery was built in 1989 in Fritzens, in the heart of Austrian Tyrol. Now led by Alexander Rainer, the founder’s son-in-law, the House perpetuates an age-old tradition of double distillation. Rochelt produces only 5,000 to 8,000 liters annually from 80 to 250 tons of untreated fruit, requiring up to 80 kg of fruit per liter. S

A limited edition born from an exceptional eau-de-vie

Annia's Gin was created as a birthday gift for Annia, Günter Rochelt’s daughter. This limited-edition creation was initially bottled in a 20-liter demijohn. At the heart of this gin is a ten-year-old Gravenstein apple eau-de-vie, sourced from southwestern Styria, a region with an ideal climate for this variety. The apples are hand-harvested at peak ripeness, in several pickings, then fermented naturally 100% with no additives before a double distillation. This eau-de-vie then ages for 10 years before being redistilled with wild Tyrolean juniper berries.
