A refined Japanese single malt with a beautiful aromatic framework
Suntory Whisky: pioneer of Japanese whisky since 1899
Founded in 1899 by Shinjirō Torii in Osaka, Suntory Whisky has embodied the excellence of Japanese whisky for over a century. In 1923, Torii established Yamazaki, Japan’s first malt distillery near Kyoto, marking the authentic birth of Japanese whisky. Suntory Whisky now owns three major distilleries—Yamazaki, Hakushu, and Chita—combining traditional Scottish techniques with Japanese craftsmanship. The family company remains 90% owned by Nobutada Saji and his descendants. Its distinction lies in adapting to the delicate Japanese palate and using exceptional spring waters. Suntory Whisky revolutionized the category by creating a unique expression, internationally awarded, celebrating its centenary in 2023.
