A Japanese single malt of smoky, woody complexity, signed Yamazaki, Japan’s first malt distillery
Suntory Whisky: pioneer of Japanese whisky since 1899
Founded in 1899 by Shinjirō Torii in Osaka, Suntory Whisky has embodied the excellence of Japanese whisky for over a century. In 1923, Torii established Yamazaki, Japan’s first malt distillery near Kyoto, marking the authentic birth of Japanese whisky. Suntory Whisky now has three major distilleries — Yamazaki, Hakushu, and Chita — combining traditional Scottish techniques with Japanese craftsmanship. The family company remains 90% owned by Nobutada Saji and his descendants. Its uniqueness lies in adapting to the delicate Japanese palate and using exceptional spring water. Suntory Whisky revolutionized the category by creating a unique expression, recognized internationally, celebrating its centenary in 2023.
Yamazaki 25 Years Old: an exceptional blend aged in Spanish oak, American oak, and mizunara casks
Yamazaki 25 Years Old is one of the most prestigious expressions from the Yamazaki distillery, Japan’s first malt whisky distillery, established over 100 years ago. This single malt Japanese whisky is the result of a blend of whiskies aged for a minimum of 25 years, notably in Spanish oak (sherry) casks, which impart a bold, complex, and full-bodied character to the spirit.
Production of Yamazaki 25 Years Old remains extremely limited, making it one of the most sought-after Japanese whiskies in the world. The spirit is presented in a 70cl bottle, accompanied by a presentation case befitting its exceptional status.
