    Weinwisser

Medium garnet. Delicate bouquet, cassis and blackberry blossom, elderberry, a hint of clove. Juicy, fairly light, but with gastronomic charm.

    Bettane+Desseauve

Deep purple robe. Expressive nose. Intense note of black fruits. The palate is opulent; imposing tannic structure. Needs time!

    Le Figaro Vin

The 2006 is supple and has good density, but the tannins are quite firm.

    Jean-Marc Quarin

The colour is beautiful, with a floral and fruity nose. The palate starts out soft before gaining power mid-palate, very fruity and flavourful. The wine finishes long on fine, tasty tannins. A success of the vintage.

    Description

A fruity and well-balanced red wine from Pauillac

    The property

In the heart of the Pauillac appellation, the Château La Fleur Peyrabon is a property of great personality. On the left bank of Bordeaux, this property has been brilliantly managed by Patrick Bernard since 1998, who takes great pride in producing elegant and refined wines.

    The vineyard

Located in the commune of Saint-Sauveur on the left bank of the Bordeaux region, the vineyard of Château La Fleur Peyrabon benefits from a very large sandy gravel terroir resting on clay subsoils, which allows the production of typical crus of the Pauillac appellation.

    Vinification and aging

Hand harvesting followed by rigorous sorting and destemming. Parcel vinification in concrete and stainless steel tanks. Progressive extraction before malolactic fermentation and aging for 14 months in barrels (50% of which are new).

    Blend

Cabernet sauvignon, merlot and petit verdot.

Characteristics and tasting advice for Château La Fleur Peyrabon 2006

    Tasting

    Nose
Of great complexity, the nose exudes fruity (cherry) and woody notes.

    Palate
The palate stands out for its density, bringing a beautiful ensemble to the wine up to a persistent finish with a licorice character.
