    Decanter

Good fragrance and nicely lifted Pauillac, quite elegant.

Classically built, slightly austere with young red fruit, herbao notes, present tannin and rather good length,

Pleasant aromas of small red berries, peony and Havana cigar, with a fine, fruity palate, round tannins and good freshness. Not powerful but harmonious.

    Roger Voss

A small portion of Château Peyrabon lies in the Pauillac appellation and is vinified separately. This is a surprisingly light wine for its appellation, fresh with fruitiness rather than structured. It has attractive black-currant acidity and a core of smoky tannins. Drink from 2018.

    Description

A full-bodied and delicate red wine from Pauillac

    The property

In the heart of the Pauillac appellation, the Château La Fleur Peyrabon is a property of great personality. On the left bank of Bordeaux, this property has been brilliantly managed by Patrick Bernard since 1998, who takes pride in producing elegant and refined wines.

    The vineyard

Located in the commune of Saint-Sauveur on the left bank of the Bordeaux region, the vineyard of Château La Fleur Peyrabon benefits from a very large sandy gravel terroir resting on clay subsoils, which allows the production of typical crus of the Pauillac appellation.

    Vinification and aging

Hand harvesting followed by rigorous sorting and destemming. Vinification in concrete vats (merlot) and barrels (on batches of cabernet). Maceration of about 21 days. Progressive extraction before malolactic fermentation and aging for 14 months in barrels (of which 50% are new).

    Grape variety

Château La Fleur Peyrabon oversees a vineyard composed of cabernet sauvignon, merlot, and petit verdot.
