In 1620, it was entrusted to the Carthusian monks, who established its viticultural reputation. Acquired by André Lurton in 1965, the château was carefully restored and is now classified as a Monument Historique. The estate, still managed by the Lurton family, is renowned for its White wines and Red wines of exceptional quality.
