    Decanter

Gorgeous aromatic intensity on the nose, with plenty of perfumed ripe blackcurrant and black cherry, plus hints of liquorice and dark chocolate. Crunchy and crisp, quite straight and streamlined, with cool acidity driving the wine forward and a chalky, flinty, stony texture that lingers on the palate, leaving a cool, grippy finish. A touch lean and linear, but it should flesh out with age. Excellent minty Médoc freshness with liquorice and clove spice. Yield: 27 hl/ha. pH 3.78. Ageing: 16–18 months; 25% new, 45% one-year, 30% two-year.

Black raspberries, flowers, licorice, and cherries, with a touch of orange peel form the core of the wine in the perfume, and on the medium-bodied palate. Bright, fresh, and clean, there is good energy, and lift to all the fruits on the mid-palate, through to the creamy finish. The wine blends 52% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, and 8% Petit Verdot, 13% ABV. Drink from 2030-2050. 92-94 Pts

Deep plum colour, vivid with bright reflections, has the fresh acidities of the vintage balanced out by rich deep fruits, toasted spice, floral fragrance and austere tannins that speaks of ageing ability. Derenoncourt Consulting. Philippe and Mathieu Cuvelier owners. 3.72 pH. Harvest September 11 to 23. 25% new oak.

    Yves Beck

Poujeaux 2025 reveals itself cautiously, step by step, hinting at power but also subtlety. Notes of mint and spices meld with aromas of black and red berries, rounded out by a touch of graphite. The creamy, supple attack heralds a wine that is dense and powerful. Its velvety tannins deliver impressive drive, supported by the structuring acidity that brings harmony in a seemingly unlikely context of such power. The tannins’ slight austerity also contributes freshness and lengthens the lingering finish. This Poujeaux stands out for its keen sense of balance and its ability to combine finesse, density and energy. It belongs in a category of its own: that of great wines. Now it simply needs time to settle, to open up, and to apply itself to fulfil its extraordinary potential. Ageing will know how to channel all of this. Inevitably, it brings to mind the image of a brilliant teenager who still needs to learn to tidy their room!

A dark, intense, beautiful color. A highly aromatic nose, with ripe, subtle fruit. Precise on the attack, subtle on the mid-palate, with a lovely texture, the wine develops into a flavorful, aromatic, long finish, with a hint of firmness. Blend: 52% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, 8% Petit Verdot. Alcohol: 13% - pH: 3.79. Yield: 27 hl/ha. Production: 200,000 bottles. Harvest: from September 12 to 25.

    Vinum

Clear and pure, with radiant fruit on the nose and palate; light-footed and elegant, yet dense with very good structure, incredibly juicy and crisp, with fine tannins that carry the wine into a long, red-fruited finish. A sure bet.

Its distinctive terroir, made up of gravel resting on a limestone bedrock, is home to a traditional blend of grape varieties including Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot.
