Description
The richness and balance of a Burgundy red wine
The estate
Since its founding in 1859, the Maison Louis Jadot embodies Burgundy excellence. Its history began in 1826 with the acquisition of the famous Beaune Premier Cru des Ursules. Thanks to a thriving wine trading activity and family know-how passed down from generation to generation, the house now enjoys a worldwide reputation. Louis Jadot offers a wide selection of cuvées, ranging from regional appellations to Grands Crus, making Burgundy accessible to all great wine enthusiasts. In 2022, Thomas Seiter (formerly Bouchard Père et Fils) succeeded Pierre-Henry Gagey as president, assisted by Thibault Gagey as general manager.
The vineyard
The 1er Cru "Les Fuées" cuvée from Domaine Louis Jadot comes from the Fuées climate in Chambolle-Musigny. This terroir, located at altitude and facing east, rests on clay-siliceous soils rich in stones.
Winemaking and aging
After precise harvesting, the grapes are destemmed and then vinified in open vats for about 4 weeks. The wine is then aged in oak barrels for 18 months.
Grape variety
100% Pinot Noir
