The estate

Since 1859, the Louis Jadot House has established itself as a reference figure in Burgundy. The story begins in 1826 with the acquisition of a first plot, then is enriched by the development of a trading activity that gives it an international reputation. Since 1992, Pierre-Henry Gagey has been leading the house, striving to perpetuate the idea of making Burgundy accessible to all lovers of quality wines.

The vineyard

The Clos de la Roche Grand Cru is located in the heart of the Côte de Nuits, near the village of Gevrey-Chambertin. This emblematic terroir, exposed to the east, rests on clay-limestone soils recognized for their excellence.

Vinification and aging

The harvest is done by hand, with the berries carefully placed in small crates to preserve their integrity. In the winery, vinification takes place in open vats (wood or stainless steel) with two punch-downs per day, then the wine is aged for 18 months in barrels from the house's cooperage.
