Au Pied du Mont Chauve : Saint-Aubin 1er cru "Le Charmois" 2019

Hints of char and licorice juxtapose ripe, piercing aromas of cassis and blueberry in this intensely ripe, supple wine. Generous and glossy on the palate, it's a black-fruited sip balanced by brisk acidity and a long, graphite finish. Best from 2024 through 2030, the wine should hold further.

The vines grow on Comblanchien limestone. This charming red is rich and full-bodied, with notes of sour cherries and a pleasant length.

It has aromas of iron filings, lifted by an elegant floral touch. Delicate and graceful, the fruit seems weightless, with a fine, pure mouthfeel.
