Description
A rare and prestigious red wine from Champagne
The estate
A benchmark in Champagne, Francis Egly perpetuates the quest for excellence of this family estate founded after the Second World War. With a surface area of just over 15 hectares, the vineyard of the Egly-Ouriet House, located on Grands Crus (Ambonnay, Bouzy and Verzenay) and a Premier Cru (Vrigny), is composed of vines aged 40 to 60 years on average.
Composed mainly of chardonnay, pinot noir and pinot meunier, the Egly-Ouriet champagnes, resulting from a rigorous mass selection and meticulous care given to both the vine and the winemaking, perfectly express the great Champagne terroirs with rare elegance and precision.
The wine
The Côteaux Champenois Ambonnay Rouge 2018 from the Egly-Ouriet house comes from very old vines, so its production is very limited.
