An exceptional Speyside single malt with Bordeaux influences
Glenfiddich, a pioneer of Scotch single malt
Founded in 1887 by William Grant in Dufftown in the Speyside, Glenfiddich remains an independent family distillery after five generations, owned by W. Grant & Sons. This whisky Scotch single malt revolutionized the industry by becoming the first to be widely marketed worldwide in 1963, creating the modern single malt category. Glenfiddich stands out for its on-site cooperage, its iconic triangular bottle since 1956, and its fruity profile with notes of apple, pear, and honey. A global leader with 20% of single malt sales, this brand combines Scottish tradition with exceptional commercial innovation.
The 31 Year Old Grand Château, a fusion of two exceptional terroirs
The 31 Year Old Grand Château is the 6th limited edition of Glenfiddich’s Grand Series collection. This outstanding expression illustrates the fusion between the French Bordeaux terroir and the Scottish terroir, orchestrated by Master Distiller Brian Kinsman. After 22 years of maturation in ex-Bourbon casks, this single malt benefits from an additional 9 years of finishing in rare 220-liter red wine casks from Bordeaux. This luxurious collaboration between two renowned traditions gives the whisky its exceptional finesse and unique aromatic profile. The 31 Year Old Grand Château holds the highest age statement in the Grand Series and features the highest alcohol strength of this prestigious collection at 47.6% ABV.
