    Description

A Champagne from the Montagne de Reims with mineral notes and remarkable complexity

    The estate
Founded in 1960 by Georges Huré, the Champagne Huré Frères House takes its name from being taken over by his three sons in 1971. Since 2008, François Huré has managed this 14-hectare family estate in the Montagne de Reims, assisted by his brother Pierre since 2012.

    The vineyard
L'Inattendue Blanc de Blancs Extra Brut is made from vineyards located in Ludes on clay and sand soils, as well as in Rilly-la-Montagne on chalky terroir. These plots in the Montagne de Reims benefit from a unique northern exposure that imparts the chardonnay with its characteristic minerality and distinctive freshness.

    Winemaking and aging
Aging lasts 4.5 years on lees, allowing the wine to develop its complexity and creaminess. The winemaking process combines 70% aging in barrels and 30% in stainless steel tanks, offering a perfect balance between richness and aromatic purity. The dosage of this Extra Brut is 3g/L.

    Grape variety

L'Inattendue Blanc de Blancs Extra Brut 2019 Champagne Huré Frères is made from 100% chardonnay.
