    Description

Characteristics and Tasting Notes for the Instantanée Blanc de Noirs Extra Brut 2019 Cuvée by Champagne Huré Frères

    Tasting Notes

    Color
The glass reveals a clear golden-yellow hue, enhanced by delicate coppery highlights and a fine, persistent effervescence.

    Nose
Open and remarkably complex, the bouquet first expresses aromas of ripe red fruit and stone fruit such as plum and white peach. It then develops tertiary notes of toasted brioche, hazelnut and spice, all underscored by a beautiful mineral thread.

    Palate
The attack is bright and precise, opening onto a full, fruity and saline palate. With a powerful structure and lively acidity, this cuvée offers a masterful balance between the richness of its fruit and its mineral tension. The finish is long, mouth-watering and perfectly dry.

    Food and Wine Pairing

This wine pairs wonderfully with seafood such as oysters, smoked fish or pan-seared turbot. It also enhances white meats, such as roast poultry or veal sweetbreads with morels, as well as mushroom-based dishes. When it comes to cheese, it is an ideal match for goat cheese or an aged Comté.

    Serving and Cellaring

This cuvée is perfect as an aperitif, at the start of a meal, or can just as easily accompany an entire gourmet menu.

    Other Characteristics

This champagne is a blanc de noirs with an Extra Brut dosage (approximately 2.5 to 3 grams of sugar per litre), highlighting its purity without artifice. Its alcohol content is 12%.

The Authentic Expression of Montagne de Reims Terroirs by Champagne Huré Frères

    The Estate

Founded in 1960 by Georges Huré, the Champagne Huré Frères house is located in Ludes, at the heart of the Champagne wine region. This family estate, spanning around ten hectares, is now run by brothers François (in charge of winemaking) and Pierre Huré (in charge of viticulture), with support from their father Raoul. A pioneer in environmentally responsible practices, the estate began its transition to organic farming as early as 2006. It stands out for its commitment to producing wines with a strong sense of identity, faithfully reflecting the purity of their terroirs through sustainable practices and great technical precision.

    The Vineyard

The vineyard covers around ten hectares spread across several villages, including Ludes, classified as Premier Cru. The vines, averaging thirty-five years of age, benefit from a distinctive northern exposure, often referred to as the north face of the Montagne de Reims. This geographical situation brings remarkable freshness to the grapes. The soils show great geological diversity, combining sand and clay over a chalky substrate in Ludes, as well as a predominance of chalk in Rilly-la-Montagne. The estate favours meticulous soil work, without synthetic herbicides, in order to preserve biodiversity.

    The Vintage

2019 is recognised as a sunny and particularly precise vintage. The growing season was marked by episodes of intense heat, fortunately tempered by cool nights as harvest approached. These contrasting weather conditions resulted in grapes of exceptional ripeness while retaining remarkable natural acidity.

    Winemaking and Ageing

To craft this wine, the estate applies rigorous plot-by-plot winemaking, keeping each village and each grape variety separate. Fermentation takes place using indigenous yeasts in a combination of stainless steel tanks and oak barrels. To preserve the wine's natural tension and freshness, malolactic fermentation is not carried out. The wine is then aged on lees for around five years, allowing it to develop its full aromatic complexity before disgorgement.

    Grape Varieties

80% Pinot Noir, 20% Pinot Meunier.
