Dark garnet-ruby. Inky, earthy bouquet with a floral touch. On the palate, slightly sandy, with a cool character and blueberry bushes in the medium finish.

Beautiful dark red. Good intensity. The nose is animal and the fruit very ripe. The structure is good but the taste is average. The grain of the tannin is particularly harsh, green without being grainy. The fruit’s brightness is missing.

    Description

    2000 Haut-Medoc Cru Bourgeois

Chateau Peyrabon estate totals 52 hectares, with 45 hectares located in Haut-Medoc appellation. The 2000 Chateau Peyrabon is 72% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, and 3% Petit Verdot.

The beautifully ruby hued Cru Bourgeois from Bordeaux boasts a deep, shiny colour. The expressive nose reveals really vibrant and intense black fruits. The palate is powerful and lush without being flabby. Ripe tannins offer round and silky attack, as well as rich, well-defined, and full texture. The 2000 Chateau Peyrabon carries balance and lovely complexity, with underlying persistent flavours of candied fruit.
